Our Organic Fair Trade Pure Vanilla Extract 2X is extracted from the pods of a climbing vanilla orchid. Two-fold vanilla extract is produced using twice as many vanilla beans as a single-fold vanilla extract, yielding a more potent vanilla aroma and flavor profile. Once organic vanilla beans are extracted from the vanilla pods, they go through a grinding process and are immersed in water and organic alcohol, producing a dark brown liquid that carries a distinctive vanilla aroma.
